Powerful enough that it also cools our hallway and most of a family room approx 500 sq ft One star off as packaging is insufficient and has a broken part. LG replaced under warranty at n/c. Great value

I am having problems with noise. I think its because the front plastic cover is so flimsy. I had a tech come out and suggested to put tape on it but it didnt help. You mostly hear it when it is on low fan speed.

The controls are much like the Friedrich air conditioner I replaced with this one but LG is much quieter. It was as easy as pulling the old Friedrich out of the wall sleeve and sliding this one in its place. Took only a few minutes to install.

I have had this unit running for about a month. Works great at keeping a small insulated room cool. My only complaint is that its loud enough to drown out the TV and I have to turn the volume up and down as the AC goes off and on frequently.

Some people who reviewed this product cited common issues that may arise. These issues couldve been addressed if such individual simply checked the LG website. Having said that this air conditioner works well for what I need. Almost too well. I actually have to shut the AC off sometimes because of how cold it gets. Its a solid product. I have no complaints with any noise it makes virtually none leakage installation its intuitive for the most part or otherwise. It is heavy but considering the value it delivers I dont mind. If this is being bought as a gift for a person who cannot lift heavy appliances I would recommend having a person or two to help install the unit.

Good replacement for very old GE

The unit is a decent value. Installation instructions are almost useless I had to google all kinds of ideas and information and there was almost nothing about this unit so looked at other basic wall installs. There was no video support from LG either. You have to get the sleeve with it. you can not install without it and that is not clear on any of the store websites or even from LG. The sleeve I had to drill holes in to secure the directions dont even say how to secure it. Then the unit just slides into the sleeve there is no way to actually secure it except to pack the supplied foam strips around it in the sleeve which sort of wedges it in place. The unit does cool ok but installation instructions need to be more clear. I just guessed how to install it. also the energy saver mode. it comes on every 3 minutes to run the fan for a few seconds in order to sample the air temp before then deciding whether or not to turn on. the problem with that is that it constantly cycles. I would have looked at other brands had I known this. Maybe its better than those even so but I cant say. If it lasts as long as the old one did Ill be happy enough. If its short lived then everything else would make it worse. However there are not a lot of options for through the wall units so I was at least happy LG offered one.

I bought it about a month ago and I am satisfied with its cooling performance but not with its noise level. The whooshing of the air flow is acceptable but there is a grinding rumbling noise heard in some areas of the apartment. I taped the front grill with the chassis at the top and bottom and that reduced the noise to a comfortable level. I expect to have a comfortable summer.

I bought two of these units a few weeks ago and have used them both a few times since then. So far they both work great and are not as loud as other air conditioners. They were also pretty easy to install and look nice unlike the old units that came with the apartment and did not properly fit in the wall sleeves. My sister noticed the new units when she came to visit and is planning to buy a couple of them as well to replace the old ones at her house. Im really satisfied with this purchase overall and highly recommend this air conditioner

Front plastic grill rattled from the start- had to put tape etc. to stop rattle- very flimsy. In cool mode low- it is pretty loud in my apt.energy saver mode is a little better. also the louvers on the grill do not tilt UP enough to allow air to flow up into room only down one foot from floor

Bought this at the beginning of the Summer in June and it did not work at first. Sat on my floor for weeks I should have taken it back but I had called LG to fix. The Tech that came out did not have the part and about 6 weeks later if finally came in and it was fixed. Since then it worked just fine but I was very disappointed in LG quality on this unit. For reference it was the main capacitor that was no good - I cant believe that the unit passed inspection before it got packaged up. If it had not been that I ordered this online from Home Depot and COVID was not an issue I would have taken it back to exchange. I thought that LGs customer service was horrible in this case.

Item is loud directional lovers are a joke basically never stops running did not come with sleeve the sleeve cost will bump the cost by more than 30. Recomendation shop shop shop before purchasing this unit.
