We purchased our range top after doing a lot of comparison shopping. We found that Bosch range stop is an amazing purchase for the money and we have been very happy! The heat is even in all six of our burners with no issues. There are different burners, depending upon the cooking surface needed. There is even a burner for simmering, which I use often. Cleanup is very easy and the surrounding area on the cooktop cleans with just some simple soap and water. I am extremely happy with the Bosch appliances and just recently purchased a refrigerator! Our goal is to convert everything over to Bosch, as it is a very sound brand with excellent customer service.

Finish On Grates Doesn't Hold Up

This rangetop is just okay. As others note, it is finicky about turning burners on, especially the two power burners. You have to hold the dial down just right to get it to stay lit. When you dial then down the small ring of the power burner tends to go out randomly. It is a good idea in theory but in practice those burners are a pain. The worst thing about this appliance is the cheap finishes. The knobs feel almost like plastic, and the grates look a decade old even though I have had them two years and cared for the, appropriately. The amount of places where the finish has worn off just from regular use with pots and pans is absurd for the cost of the rangetop. "Special enamel" my behind; whatever material the grates are coated in is useless and can't even withstand a pan touching it without flaking off. I called to complain and was told that it is normal for the finish to wear off and too bad! After two years? I don't think so!

Worst Cooktop I've Ever Owned

I bought this cooktop for a kitchen remodel a little over a year ago. $3600 was a lot to spend for us but we wanted nicer appliances and we thought Bosch had a good reputation for reliability. Since day 1 of owning the stove the front right burner hasn't worked properly. It lights up but as soon as you let go of the knob the flame goes out. We've had the technician from the appliance store out 4 times now to fix it. He'd have a look at it and order new parts, which were always back ordered and would take 1-3 months to get. He's at the point where he just threw up his hands and says there's nothing else he can do. I've asked for a new stove that works but it's out of warranty now (thanks to the insane amount of time we had to wait to get parts from Bosch). I will never buy Bosch appliances again.

Issue with turning on

Nearly impossible to turn on on first try. Takes atleast 2-3 times to keep flame lit. So much gas coming out by the 2nd/3rd try so flame shoots out aggressively. Once lit, it works fine.

The finish Gas caps are already damage. The gas makes a lot of noise. If you bump a knob the gas turns on. Would be nice to have a safety mechanism like push in and turn.
