I just had it installed today so not sure how it is going to perform, but my issue is with the control panel, the thin protective cover was removed but it looks very "lumpy" is it normal or is it defective?

Our benchmark microwave is just over 1 year old and the vent panel above the control pad just fell off and almost broke our induction cooktop, which is also a Bosch applicance! We've had terrible luck with our benchmark diswasher and now our benchmark microwave. Now we're wondering if we'll have problems with our benchmark induction range/convection oven next. If you've already bought Bosch appliances, good luck. As for us, never again.

This microwave replaces a GE Profile microwave combination oven. It was good, but the Bosch Benchmark is a step above everything. The cook functions, reheat functions are way ahead of anything I've experienced. Along with this I replaced my whole kitchen as my appliances were fading fast. This is the first time I've purchased a Bosch and I will most definitely be a Bosch customer for life!

The unit works fine; however, the control panel needs to be backlite. It's nearly invisible without turning on the overhead lights in our kitchen. I would not purchase again.

I've had it a month and like the brightness of the light it can provide underneath. The clock is so bright that I turned it off as my eyes are sensitive. I like that the fan has 4 levels. You're supposed to wipe condensation out to prevent rust and that's new for me. Moisture is a frequent occurrence. I cook veggies a lot and the sensor vegetable cook button is working perfectly. I want to try using the convection oven some more but need some ideas. It unit seems to be lower than my old oven a bit or maybe protrudes more into the kitchen. There's no button to pause the microwave so you just open the door to do that same as my old microwave. I think the hold warm feature is an interesting and useful feature. It's weird that you are supposed to wait 5 minutes before using the microwave again after using a convenience button. I don't understand that requirement.

This is the best microwave we have owned and a significant upgrade from a similarily priced Samsung model we had previously owned. The sensor functions work extremely well and the convection oven is fast and quiet. I am glad we upgraded to a Bosch!

When I purchased the Microwave I was informed it was the best in the business.. After installatiuon Ihave my doubts. My complaint is with the keypad on the left side of the unit. First of all, the letters and numbers are way to small. Very difficult to read if not impossible for older people. The above condition could be alleviated with a little back lighting. To use this unit in early morning or late evening you have to light up the area to see the numbers or programs - very agrevating. Unfortunately we did not see the unit set up for display. If we did I doubt we would have purchased it.

I am in the process of replacing all my other brand appliances. The microwave was easy to install it took about 20 minutes. The Benchmark series is the way to go if you can spend the money. Spend once cry once.
