Weve had our Bosch double oven for nearly two months now and are very happy with the performance of the ovens. They heat up fast and everything we've baked has turned out well. It was a surprise that some of the cooking modes (e.g. pizza bake) are available for the upper oven only, and it would be nice if the alarm had a louder setting than the three that are built in, but these are minor issues. Strangely we've found a few errors in the manual, but nothing that can't be figured out playing with the oven.

Our new oven was installed last week (May 2026). A huge disappointment! Once it reaches the desired temperature, the oven blows out exhaust constantly. You can feel the force of the air from 10 feet away! It is extremely powereful and noisy. It is very uncomfortable to stand in front of the oven to even open the door as the air flow hits you right in the eyes. I would not recommend this oven to anyone. I was so looking forward to this and its a disaster.
The control panel is also a mess - very difficult to process

I purchased this unit in mid2025 and after a few months of light use I noticed that the enamel was flaking off near the door. I initiated a warranty claim with Bosch and they promptly sent out an inspector who confirmed that the unit could not be repaired and should not not be used. Bosch authorized a replacement, but after months of delays Bosch admitted that a replacement was not possible and a buyback was in order. This process has taken over 5 months since I initiated the warranty claim and I am still without a working oven or the refund check to buy a replacement. To put this bluntly, Bosch Customer Service has been awful and ineffective. Keep this in mind when you are deciding which brand to choose!

Self Clean Destroys Oven

We bought our appliances after Hurricane Harvey in April 2018 to include this Bosch Double Oven with left swing door. I feel in love with the door and how it opens, it really does make getting food out of the oven so much easier. It is just my husband and myself so we use the upper oven most of the time and the bottom oven still looks brand new. Now we are getting our home ready to sell so I thought that I would clean the oven with the Self Clean mode. About 35 minutes into the cleaning cycle I hear this loud noise and the glass door has imploded in the oven and this was the first time I have ever used the self clean. I had to cancel the self clean and then wait for the oven to cool down before I could even open the door to inspect what had happened. Obviously this is a known problem as I have seen two other reviews that mentioned this. Why is there not a recall or something warning the consumer. I decided to call Bosch versus a local repairman since I felt that this was a safety issue. Sure enough they do consider it a safety issue and I was informed that the repairman will come out and inspect to find out what caused this and why and then provide me an estimate on how much it will cost me to fix it. Bosch really needs to do better at informing the consumers about this problem.

When our 18 yr old Bosch double failed after a power outage our first instinct was to buy a new one. However, when I checked the dimensions of the new ovens I realized they have grown both in height and width since 2007 so we made 2 failed attempts to repair the old one. During our months of trying to fix the old one the price of a new Benchmark double oven increased by $600. Oh well, my wife wanted the Benchmark with the swinging doors because she is petite. Then, we couldn't find a carpenter or handy man to modify the cabinet so I took it on myself to try. I'm not skilled woodworker but was able to do it, not perfectly but good enough. We love the new oven. It holds temperatures well and the swinging doors make it easy to use. I wish it would default back to the clock free use but I figured out which 2 buttons to press to do that. Why in the world did every manufacturer of ovens expand the outer dimensions of their ovens? One would think that there'd be a standard size so they'd be easier to replace. Anyone needing to replace an older oven will either need a new cabinet or tithe existing one modified.

My wife is as close as you can come to a gourment chef outside of a Michelin starred restaurant, so when we decided to buy new appliance for our kitchen I knew she deserved the best.
She loves this double wall oven with the french doors. She really appreciates having easy access to the oven without the normal pull down door between her and whatever treat she has in the oven for us.
The controls are easy to understand with just a slight learning curve, and she loves the built in thermometer and that it turns the oven off when food reaches the set tempurature.
We would highly recommend.

I recently purhased this Bosch double oven, and I really like it. The oven door swings open to the left rather pulling it down. This feature allows me to access the oven cavity and remove the contents without having to reach over the door.
I like all the features of the oven, including convection and air frying. It is user friendly.

I purchased and installed this oven as part of a full kitchen remodel (all Bosch appliances).
Things I like about this double oven:
1) it's a double oven. That's a game changer
2) convection is fantastic. Things cooker quicker
3) the oven heats faster than some of have said. I have no issue with the time it takes to head up
4) hot air blows from the front-top of the unit upward. This is no issue for me (as it is with some). All ovens do this in some forth or another
5) the touch controls are great
6) service on all my Bosch appliance has been fantastic. Nothing wrong with them, just install issues
The only thing that is an issue is the on-screen menu. As a tech guy that uses lots of electronics, this isn't as user-friendly & logical as you might expect. It takes a little bit to get conformable with using it.

Love that I can reach right into the oven without leaning on a door. I do agree that the reached temperature buzz is a little soft and that you can't turn on the oven lights separately and rolling racks would be great on both upper and lower ovens but all in all, they cook well and are just a joy to bake in.

I selected this double oven primarily because of the side-hinged doors on boh top and bottom ovens. The ovens work as expected. Access to hot items from the oven is easy with less risk of burning myself since the door swings open on the side hinge. The only comment I have so far is that the alarm is not loud enough to be heard from a distance.

These convection ovens work great!!! The unfortunate part is the extremely loud fan that kicks on while preheating, and stays on until the oven cools down. It's very unfortunate.
The other down side is the clock. Although it's really nice to have a digital clock on the oven, it is so bright at night time, and there is no way to turn it off or dim it.
These aren't cheap ovens. BOSCH needs to figure out another method besides the extremely loud fan that kicks on, and at least add a dimmer for the digital clock.

We have had issues with this oven since day one. After multiple repairs (8
+)due to oven not reaching temperature and then once reached, decreases in heat, very inconsistant, , calls, etc. we are once again having issues. When the timer goes off the oven shuts off.

Love the side opening doors! I can access food without burning myself due to short height and short reach! Made delicious roasted whole chicken meal, Succulent meat! Yummy chewy and crunchy pizza crust Neopolitan pizzas! Looking forward to my bread recipes, tarts and pies! Lots of great settings to explore. Easy operation. Oven is beautiful! Telescoping racks are so nice. 6 racks to do dozens of cookies fast! Love it!

Purchased the Bosch mainly because of side opening doors. This is the first Bosch appliance I've owned. We'll see how it goes over the next few years.
What I like most is the doors and second the more even heat when baking cookies or bread.
What I like least is the timer alarm, which when turned as high as it will go is useless. I use my phone for timing because if I'm more than 3' away from it or in the next room forget about hearing it. The second worse thing is that I would expect to get a least one sliding rack in each oven, but know only one oven. If you want a second one the price is ridiculous. This design also needs to be updated because there is no technology with it.

The new addition to my kitchen has surpassed all my expectations. The features I like the most are the side-opening doors that swing to the left and the many settings available in the top and bottom ovens. Having the doors open makes it easier to maneuver around the oven, especially with large dishes. The many controls, ranging from dough proofing, convection versus traditional baking, and several broiler settings, all give me greater control over what I cook. Unlike my previous oven, all these options are available top and bottom. The price I paid was fair, given the overall construction of the oven. The value is outstanding.

Love our double oven! Can't wait to learn all the features it has to offer! Love how big the ovens are! The glide out rack is one of my favorite parts! Only thing I would change is to have the capability to turn oven light on for the top or the bottom since most of the time a person only uses one oven.

I love my new double oven from Bosch! The convection works so much better than my old Kitchenaid double oven! I can finally bake multiple sheets of cookies at once! The side opening door is so much more convenient than a bottom opening door - no more lifting heavy items from the oven while leaning over a hot door!

It is the easiest oven to operate, it has a large interer, it cooks evenly. I love that you can have six racks of cookies cooking at the same time with just heating the top oven. The biggest pro is that it cooks evenly no mather how much you put in it.

I'm an avid home cook and was so upset when my double ovens needed to be replaced. But the Bosch Bencnmark double ovens are so much better in every way! The different setting all work to cook/bake each thing I throw at them to perfection! To topmif off, the side-opening doors have made getting in and out of my ovens so much easier. I'm petite and always struggle with my top oven. No more! Thanks for another great Bosch product.

My new double convection oven from Bosch has left hand, swing open doors (like car doors). It's very convenient to load and unload, especially with the ball-bearing glide rack that came with it. The rack slides out to full extension which is very handy. The display is bright and easier to read than my old oven. There are a number of cooking modes, probably more than I will ever use. Part of the reason that I bought this oven was that I trust the Bosch brand name. I like it and would recommend it.

We bought these ovens to avoid having to reach over the standard bottom hinged solution. The doors and the ball-bearing full pullout shelves make this the easiest & safest set of ovens we have ever had. Not inexpensive, but worth the price for us.

I love them for two main reasons. I love the large windows so I can keep an eye on what's cooking easily. The second reason is that I have a bad back and was constantly burning myself reaching over the door to access food. Now I just open the door, which opens considerably more than 90°, and I have easy access to food and to clean up spills. No more burns. Oh, and did I say they are beautiful?
