Malfunctioned and too expensive to replace and not

I have a cafe oven with this rack that is less than 5 years old. The rack keeps freezing up as the rail has either become slightly deformed or one of the bearings has. I called the company that sold me a service contract and they don™™t cover any kind of racks. I understand the regular rack, but this isn™™t a standard rack. Without the sliding function the rack is not usable and I have to remove the entire rack assembly from the oven in order to close the door. You can™™t even order the slide to replace only that part. I refuse to pay almost $600 for a rack assembly. I will be forced to buy a standard rack to replace this unit. I™™m so disappointed in GE for selling a part that is not serviceable even by the technician and costs 10 times the price of a standard unit. I will never buy another service contract if they do not cover the parts that can not be serviced and are mechanical vs standard functioning. I wasted the money I paid for a 5 year warranty.

Roller rack is terrible. Does not easily come in or out and after 2 years of use the enamel has blistered and bubbled. Im going back to a regular rack and trashing this one. The price they quote for this part is outrageous given the poor quality

As the other reviews have said, this rack is almost impossible to take in and out. And my oven has 2 of them. When using the oven I often need to move racks around for different things. I would replace both of them with regular normal racks. I actually have another one of these ovens and at least it came with 1 normal rack. I would still trade the one roller in that oven for a normal rack. I have tried everything that was recommended. There are no normal racks available, even to purchase. Very disappointed. This oven replaced a GE Profile oven that was 20 years old. It worked perfectly for 20 years. No fancy racks.

ROLLER RACK THAT DOESN'T ROLL!

I purchased the Cafe 30" slide-in electric range for my remodeled kitchen. Unfortunately, the oven roller rack is defective. If I pull it out, it won't securely slide back in place without having to forcefully jam it in place. It does not work as intended, and I haven't been able to use it yet. I had to switch it out to my bottom rack that I never use, which completely defeats the purpose of the roll-out convenience. It's a shame that what should be a convenient item on such an overpriced appliance doesn't work properly. I just purchased the range 4 months ago decided to finally ask for a replacement since I had to contact the warranty department anyway about my brand new Cafe dishwasher that suddenly stopped working. I'm disappointed with the subpar craftsmanship I'm experiencing for the price of these appliances. Hopefully, I don't run into any issues with my Cafe fridge or microwave.
