Oven heats up fast and has consistent heating of food. The cooktop heats up well but you have to constantly clean it even when not using it since it's black and tends to attract dust. It's a gorgeous appliance!

I™™ve now had two control board (motherboard) failures on this GE stove, both caused by minor water spills during normal cooking (like a pot boiling over). Each time, the stove completely stopped working and required expensive repairs. A stove should absolutely be able to handle basic kitchen situations like small spills or steam. The fact that this has happened twice points to a serious design flaw, not user error. This isn™™t just frustrating™"it™™s costly and makes the appliance unreliable for everyday use. I shouldn™™t have to worry that cooking pasta might break my stove. I expected better durability and engineering from GE Appliances. At this point, I can't recommend this product.

I bought a new home that came with cafe appliances. I read online that many people have issues with these appliances, but I hoped I wouldn't have a problem. After only a couple of uses, my oven started tripping the breaker. I've had issues with my cafe fridge as well. I'm worried that after the one-year warranty expires, I will have to pay out of pocket for these repairs or replace my entire kitchen set. They do offer an additional 5-year protection that you must purchase, but it costs about $2,000 to ensure all my appliances for 5 years, and no payment plan.

After 25 years of using the same range and absolutely great one I now have updated to this beautiful cafÃ. It™™s absolutely fantastic. It is everything I dream of. I cannot stop staring at it. It™™s beautiful. The capacity is amazing. They power burner. It™™s incredible. I have made pizzas multiple ones and they all come out absolutely amazing. I have baked. It™™s absolutely amazing. I just can™™t get enough of it. I also have the microwave and oh my God I™™m completely in love. I recommend anyone who wants to upgrade to go for these Cafe models in the near future I will buy handles that match the handles of my cabinets

Not as good as the GE Profile. Not a fan of using WiFi and wish the included a printed manual. I find the top doesn't clean as well. The oven capacity seems smaller. Not a fan of the slide out rack. I think that's why oven seems smaller. The oven hums while it's running until it cools down when turned off. Also my Profile had a true oven bottom drawer, the Cafe only has a warming drawer. Seems the Cafe series is focused more on looks than function. GE should do something about the knobs that have a different tone than the pulls. Wish they would have had the Profile n white!

Do not buy this oven! If you pay close attention to the reviews, you will see most of the 5 star review are people who have had it for less than a year. The oven looks great, the feel of it seems like high quality construction. If you closely read the 1 and 2 start reviews, you will see the same thing over and over again. Oven breaks, gets repaired, breaks, gets repaired, and so on. I have had this oven for just under 3 years. In that time, it has been replaced completely once, and the SAME part replaced 4 times! As well as a fan replaced for not working, and my front right main burner replaced for not working. My issue has been that out of nowhere, the oven starts to glitch and switch to a bunch of different modes, and then the display just shuts down and no longer works and the oven is toast. The technicians that come say the same thing over and over again, which is, they are replacing this board all the time on these ovens. The last technician that came told me as soon as GE stops paying for these parts, to throw this oven out and count it as a loss otherwise I will be paying $500-$700 a year to keep replacing this. I have seen this first hand and my oven has now crapped out for a FIFTH TIME! I am in the process of dealing with GE right now but they are telling me I am on the hook for everything going forward. This $3000 oven has not lasted longer than a 6 month period for me and it has been very upsetting as I have gone weeks and months without a working oven (usually takes anywhere from 3-5 weeks to get the part each time) 5 times since I bought this. GE is not acknowledging that this oven is faulty despite the 50* reviews on here (and many more on different sites) that say the same thing. Don't get fooled by the looks, this oven is terrible. You are paying a premium price for a nice looking oven that will not last you. I have a friend with the same oven, bought 3 months before me, going through the exact same thing. I should also clarify I have the electric radiant range 30" in white. I can't speak for the gas or induction.

We purchased the Matte White with Bronze hardware and it is beautiful in our two toned white & maple cabinets. Our builder built it out so we have small quartz counter behind the actual oven. It looks built on and provides a flat space behind the oven.

This oven and stovetop has been such a dream getting to use. It looks slick and has been consistent with temperature. The probe is not accurate so I™™d be curious to figure out if that can be calibrated. It™™s easy to clean and I love the WiFi option that sends alerts to my phone so I can step away and still have an idea on how everything is cooking.

WARNING! DON'T BUY THIS RANGE!!

I am miserable. This appliance has a horrid design flaw. The only large burner is a 3 step burner. The inner burner part heats so many degrees hotter than the next two levels. You cannot slowly simmer anything. You cannot make pancakes without burning them. Anything cooked in the center of your pot or pan will heat so high it will burn even on the lowest setting. Since this is the only large burner on the stove top it literally is impossilbe to use a large pot for ANYTHING other than boiling water. I had a service repair man come out who told me that he gets more calls on this issue than any one other issue and that customers are miserable with this range for this reason. I am so unhappy that i will like put this range on the side of the road and count this as the worst couple thousand dollar mistake I've ever made. If you call the customer service number and speak to someone about this you are basically told that since it works there is nothing they will do for you.

GE Doesn't Care! #No Owners Manual #Flimsy Plastic

The Range is beautiful however, there are things that I don't like and that make it cheap (which it was NOT!). First, the legs underneath the stove are made of plastic and can easily buckle when extended so that the range is the same height as the countertop. Secondly, I HATE that I did not receive an owner's manual with the appliances. I called 1-800-GE Cares, but I guess they do NOT CARE because they said there is nothing they can do, but I can print off the 65 -page owner's manual myself! This is unacceptable in my opinion, as it would cost GE virtually nothing to send me the manual!

I am pleased with the stove. I am not pleased with the instructions for various functions of the stove. For example, probe comes in stove. No directions where to place in oven. on top of stove is 5th burner -- warming zone -- how is that activated?? I printed manual --doesn't answer these questions.

Works great so far. The oven take a few minutes to preheat but cooks everything nicely. Power consumption is not very high. Hoping to try the air fry feature next.

We have had our range/stove top for over 2 years and love it. Never an issue and just recently learned to setup the wifi with it. We are old school but our kids walked us thru it and set it up explaining the benefits of using it.

This is an updated review to the GE Cafe electric range. I have owned this range for about 3 years now. What I love and What I don't love: Love the look. Don't love that the knobs are so close together that it is very difficult to clean between. Don't love that for the money, they couldn't put an indicator that tells you which burner is hot (not just that a burner is hot). A feature I had on my older cheaper stove that was more intuitive. Don't love the power burner. I specifically wanted this feature for my larger pots for even heating. However it gets too hot in the center and always burns the center of the pot. I have good qualitiy cookware so it's definately the stove. Even burns the center when using cast iron. Don't love how difficult it is to keep the glass clean without a haze. My older stove was much easier to keep clean. The oven is about 15 degrees cooler than it should be, so I set temp to accomodate.

Only had it for a month but it's working great so far. I don't use the wifi feature as I don't need it. But it's great with my enameled cast iron pans. I do find that the smaller burners must be turned to a higher heat level to heat up pans, otherwise you'll be waiting for a while. On the other hand, the large burner is best on medium low setting. The oven is also amazing. Already baked bread, muffins and more. Huge plus is that it looks amazing in my kitchen. If you spend alot of time cooking then you'll appreciate how beautiful the range is and how important style is.

Only had it for a month but no issues so far! It looks great in my home, not just another generic range. Works well with my enameled cast iron pieces, and bakes great! I was very worried at first as appliances can be hit or miss, but overall super happy with my purchase. I don't use the wifi feature as I don't find it necessary.

GE Continues to disappoint!

GE/Cafe has lost all credibility with me. I wish I had never purchased this oven. I will not be adding the refrigerator and dishwasher into my remodel. The service and quality continues to be a challenge. I reported a this issue 15 days ago. I've made at least 8-10 phone calls to CS each time had to wait over 30 mins for help. I finally received my parts, I did what you asked and called and rescheduled my appoint for service. Another 30 mins. He never showed? I called again, yes 30 minutes wait. They apologized apparently they put my account on hold it was a tech error, service didn't think I had my parts. So YESTERDAY 3/7 we rescheduled, she offered my $50 bucks, I could care less about the cash, and rescheduled appt again. Today 3/9, I just received a voicemail telling me my account is "on hold" until I receive my parts???? Its just so hard to believe a company of this size is this disorganized.

Oven Quit Working After a Year

If I could give less than one star, I would. We recently built a brand new home and ordered this beautiful range to complete our kitchen. The delivery was delayed by more than 7 months, but, despite my frustration, I accepted it due to the pandemic. We have had our stove for a little more than a year, and the oven has completely stopped working. We have tried everything to get it to work, but it won't (only the stove top is functional). To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I thought investing more in our appliances would ensure we ended up with quality products. If you're looking for a range that looks pretty but doesn't work, this is the one for you!

Self Clean - Blew out oven!

Extremely disappointed with GE! I bought this oven about a 1.5 years ago and all was fine until I used the Self Cleaning Mode. My oven blew out, locked, apparently it also burned the control panel per the Service Rep from GE. After 1 year warranty was up I did not renew warranty since I was liking the oven. Now I have a basically a brand new over that doesn't work and no one to helping me at GE. I placed a service order and was supposed to hear back today, but all i received was a note that parts are backordered. I call CS and waited 30 mins before speaking with someone who could only tell me the same thing. Oh she did say parts most likely would not arrive until April! Seriously??? GE this is unbelievable, I would have never used Self Clean if I knew this was going to happen. By the way, tech says its common? Now I waited another 30 mins to get to the 2nd level of help who filled out a claim for me for urgency on the parts, she gave me claim # and said email would arrive. It never did. I am shocked by their integrity as company.

Worst purchase - GE Electric Oven

I bought this oven little over a year ago. Two weeks ago I used Self Clean for 1st time. It blew the oven smoked, locked, and completely died. - digital board etc. Now working w/cust service is the worst. No answers, parts are backordered until April???? (Which I only found out because I called & waited for 1/2 hr to talk to someone), Seriously I will have no oven for two months? Unbelievable a size of this company can't handle this, I am currently on hold with customer service again and the time to wait just continues to increase, almost as if they don't want to deal with it. I planned on adding the refrigerator and dishwasher this month. Obviously that will not be happening as I have lost all trust in this company.
