I bought this to match kitchen appliances and hope for the price it would brew a good cup of coffee. The glass carafe is difficult to wash. The rim requires scrubbing because coffee resides after washing. Then water stores in the rim after cleaning. So you put the carafe on the burner and water drips down. Wipe the water in the jar AGAIN. Prepare coffee for following morning. Pour water for coffee. Insert coffee. Water drops into carafe without any power function. Water constantly appears inside glass caraf3 before brewing even set. Aesthetics: bought white and bronze to match appliances. Black cord and plug is an eyesore. And can™™t hide it. So everything is white and bronze but the leaky carafe has a black cord. Not worth $200. At all.

Really surprised that the water reservoir does not remove for easier filling and cleaning. The top for the coffee grinds only opens up, so this coffee maker really needs a large clearance area above it to function. Would prefer it be operable underneath our cabinets (without having to bring it forward to fill the water and add coffee grinds. It does keep the coffee pot nice and hot. Also not as friendly for single cup brewing as my Ninga coffee machine.

So far a bit disappointed with the brewing. I like strong coffee and have set it to strong and raised the temperature but it still does not brew to the strength that comes close to the Mr. Coffee we use from time to time or the Kitchenaide. The opening of the carafe is also a bit small and difficult to get your hand and sponge in to clean it properly. Other than that it is sleek and looks great on the counter. But if we can™™t get stringer brew, we may just have to return it or chnage it out.

I like the coffee pot a lot. I picked it because it was white and I changed everything in my kitchen, so I looked at this one watched some reviews. Some people liked it. Something didn™™t the only thing that I didn™™t like about it is that it doesn™™t get the coffee very hot. I turned it up all the way and it is not very hot at all so that™™s the downfall it needs to be hotter. I shouldn™™t have to heat it up in the microwave. Other than that I love all the features.

This model stopped working at 10 months, we were under warranty, and Cafe Appliances asked us to ship it back and they've now had it for a month with no communication back for a month. People who drink coffee won't go without a coffee maker for 3 months. I would not recommend purchasing as it is an unreliable product and customer care is not responsive. It's unfortunate because the products are beautiful!

We bought this coffee maker to match our other GE Cafe Appliances. Extremely disappointed with this product. You cannot brew more than 6 cups of coffee without making a complete mess. The grinds will overflow into the carafe. Furthermore, the coffee doesn't stay hot for more than 30 minutes. Furthermore Part II there's trapped liquid (water or coffee) in the carafe. There's a swishing noise.

Beautiful coffee maker but inferior product especially for the price. We only used this coffee pot for a couple weeks and it already started to stain even though we would wipe it down after every use. Then after a few months of using the pieces started falling and breaking off. I will never buy any cafe appliances again. The customer service was very unhelpful.

I cannot recommend this product due to reliability and more importantly service of the product. Our coffee maker was purchased in July part of a $14,000 dollar cafÃ appliance package and we did not receive the package until September due to the dishwasher being back ordered. Once we set up the coffee maker it worked fine until 04/17/25. We tried to open that ticket through cafes website. Unfortunately, they say that we needed to contact the dealer for service. we did contact the dealer 04/17/25. We did not hear back from our sales rep. We called back on 04/20/25 and they directed us to the service department. The service department told us to contact GE directly and gave us a phone number. When we called the number the dealer gave us it was a dealer only number and not one for customers so they direct us to another number. That number unfortunately led us to a Medicaid website which is not what we wanted so I called back the number again and was transferred to someone that could help us at GE. The person we talked to at GE informed us that we needed to write down the serial number also have the original sales order number and attach a video of the problem that we were having. I asked about the length of the video that we could send due to file sizes and they said try and keep it under 10 seconds. I asked if I could write a narrative and they said no they needed to actually see a video. When I sent the email 04/22/25, I did not receive a response for a week. So I called back 04/28/25 they told me that they had not received the video. I did not receive bounce back saying it was not received. I again asked what size of video they could receive, and they said they did not know but chances are the video file is too big and that I need to get some video editing software to make the video shorter or only do a four second video. After editing the video and sending the information again, I got an immediate response saying that they had received it. They decided to replace the unit and issued a FedEx return label. They also informed us that our warranty would not be extended due to this failure and that our warranty would end on 07/04/25 on the purchase date not the date we received the unit. A week went by and I did not receive the coffee maker. I called by on 05/06/25, they said unfortunately it was back ordered and that it was now freshly in stock and they would be sending it. Side not, it was in stock on their website the whole time. I received a tracking number two days later and thought things were going well. Again, a week went by and still no replacement. Looked up the tracking number and it was still at label created. I contacted them again 05/13/25 this time they told me that it was not their fault and that it was FedEx and I needed to talk to FedEx in order to figure out what was going on. I asked them kindly could they go ahead and rectify the issue since it is a logistic issue between them and FedEx. They said that they would reach out to FedEx finally and resolve the issue. 05/14/25 I received an email saying it was out of stock again at that warehouse in PA and would switch to a warehouse in IL. (which is a lot closer to me) When tracking information was available they would send it to me. 05/19/25 they sent tracking information with a label created on 05/14/25. On 05/22/25 I reached out again as the tracked number was still at the label created phase. The person I talked to said she was new and said there were ongoing fedex issue. But she would reach out to someone that handle fedex stuff and either her or my case manager would get back to me. As of today 05/27/25, neither person has gotten back to me and the tracking number is still at label created. I truly do not understand what is so complicated about shipping for such a large company that has such a great brand name. I can't imagine that these types of issues would affect their day-to-day business. At this point we've been waiting now five weeks for a replacement coffee maker and I don't think that we're going to get one anytime soon.

This coffee maker is gorgeous. When it worked, it brewed quickly and was tasty. However, my coffee maker stopped brewing after a few months. I reached out and GE replaced it in a timely fashion. The replacement coffee maker also stopped brewing after another couple of months. This time GE refused to replace it, saying the email order confirmation was not proof of purchase. The exact same documentation I provided for the warranty on the original coffee maker. Unbelievable. They just lost the sale of a full set of cafe kitchen appliances. I had ordered the coffee maker to check out the color against my glass backsplash to decide if the appearance was enough for the costly appliances. They obviously do not stand behind their products. I would not recommend this coffee maker or any GE appliance after this disappointing experience.

I purchased this product to match our kitchen appliances. It is a beautiful match but does not function very well. After 3 months of daily use it stopped brewing coffee. The filter basket also overflows if you make a full pot of coffee, which is only 40 oz. I have also found that you need to add more grounds per oz of water, as compared to other makers, to get a reasonably strong brew.

I really love the style of this coffee maker! It was a beautiful addition to my remolded kitchen. The 10 cups is a perfect size. (who actually brews and drinks more than that at one sitting?). The SCA certified was a requirement for my purchase and the quality brew meets the expectation of taste, temperature and speed of making coffee. I can actually brew 6 cups in @ 2-3 minutes! Now for the drawbacks. As others have posted, the quality of materials is poor. After 1 year of operation, the finish is peeling from the carafe handle. I nearly cut myself as the peeled finish is sharp. I am very concerned about the finish bubbling and peeling from below the coffee filter basket housing. (I have not found how to upload pictures to show the peeling finish. ) Plastics and factory paint cannot be good leaching into the carafe. I really wanted to continue loving this coffee maker, but a coffee maker should last well longer than for the time I've had it in operation. @ 1.5 years. So here we go folks with another small useless appliance that will take up space in our environment. Don't we have enough waste already? Also, the dial of the Brew/Selection button on the Specialty Drip Coffee Maker flashes (4 seconds on and 0.5 sec off) when not in use. and it does not stop. I have read everything I could on this behavior, but only come up with "contact GE for returns". I just wish the coffee maker stood up to the long laster quality brand of GE.

It made great coffee while it lasted. We purchased the unit in December of 2022 but the dealer could not get a white one until 3/9/2023! One of the display segments stopped working a few days ago. The right digit showed A instead of 8, ? instead of 2, etc.. Now this morning it would not brew. I cycled the power but still no brew. I left it unplugged for 10-min and then it appeared to work. We'll see tomorrow morning.

I received this as a gift about 1.5 years ago and initially loved it. Unfortunately, the gold part of the carafe began peeling and chipping badly after some time. I also started experiencing issues with the display. When I reached out to customer service, they informed me that the machine was out of warranty and provided a link to purchase a replacement carafe for $70, which is about a third of the machine's cost. Considering it will likely have the same problems, it feels like a waste of money. My previous coffee maker, which was more advanced, lasted five years without issues. While this one looks great and brews good coffee, expect to replace it every year.

Do not buy this product. The glass carafe cracked a few months after the minimal 1 year warranty expired. When I called to get a replacement, it would be on backorder for months. Poor quality product.

I want to love this coffee maker but I just can't. It does several things great. I do like the app as I can set multiple schedules to brew at different times in the morning and different cup amounts...you only buy a smart coffee maker when you want it to brew in the morning and be ready when you want it ready. Which brings me to the not advertised or BEST FEATURE of this coffee maker....since it's connected to your Wi-Fi when you unplug it or if you have a power outage...THE CLOCK SETS ITSELF! I was tired of having to reprogram the clock every time on my old coffee maker and then tell it what time to start brewing (yes, completely first world problems) but this one sets the clock itself and I haven't seen a review yet that mentions this awesome feature. I have not explored the different temperatures or brew strengths as I have been quite happy with the Gold setting. Now for the problems I have with this coffee maker.... this is not a knock on the design (and I picked it myself) but coffee makers should not come in white...period. Yes, I chose white to go with my kitchen and I will never do that again...why, because this coffee maker is extremely messy. After only a couple of weeks the coffee has stained the carafe lid and lip, and it would stain the bottom area around the warmer plate if I didn't wipe it down after every single brew. And what do I mean by "messy"...well maybe it's a difference between a cone filter or my old basket filter but when you make 8 or 10 cups the grounds ALWAYS wind up outside of either the basket or the filter and in the coffee pot. Not to mention that coffee grounds wind up on the inside lid of the brew basket piece...every time. Then Lord help you when you take the basket/filter out of the brewer part to wash it because now half a cup of water falls down onto the hot plate...it's just messy every single day. The water reservoir....poor design. If you could remove it then it would be great as you could fill up your 6, 8, 10 etc... cups at the sink and put it back. Keep in mind that this reservoir cannot hold 2 or 3 days worth of water like some other coffee machines...it can only hold just over 10 cups so unless you are only brewing 2 or 4 cups then it's only holding one day's worth of water. And this coffee maker doesn't make coffee until it runs out of water, you have to specify the number of cups etc... but back to the reservoir...since it really only holds one day of water you have to fill the carafe...fine...but the carafe does not have the cup level on it so you just have to guesstimate how much water to put in the carafe to then fill the reservoir with desired water amount and pour out the remaining water...if it had 6,8,10 cup lines on it then you could see exactly how much water to put in the carafe. But the absolute worst thing about this coffee maker, and there is no excuse for this... YOU CANNOT KEEP IT HOT LONGER THAN 2 HOURS. I may have coffee in the morning, go out for an hour or two and come back and have some more coffee and on ANY other coffee maker I've ever had then you simply pressed the on button again and it kept the warmer plate hot since it was really trying to do another brew cycle but since there was no water it just keeps it warm. You cannot do that with this one. Once your two hours are up it's cold, period, end of story. if you try to start it again then it's going to start another brew cycle and one of two things happens....if you DO have more water in the reservoir then it's going to start brewing more coffee....if you DON'T have water in the reservoir then it beeps at you and gives you add water messages until you cancel the brew cycle and it turns off. Overall, I do like the aesthetics of the coffee maker and it does brew a nice pot of coffee, but in my opinion the poor design features (reservoir tank, the mess it makes, and cannot keep it hot more than 2 hours) outweigh the benefits...would not recommend.
